Your vehicle Owner's Manual defines a number of driving conditions your vehicle manufacturer considers to be severe:

Most manuals suggest that if any one of these conditions exist, you should change your engine oil at least every 3,000 mile or 3 months.

Pennzoil® is driving protection - including your free Pennzoil® 10-Year/250,000 Mile Limited Warranty. All you have to is change your engine oil and filter, every 4 months or 4,000 miles, whichever occurs first, using Pennzoil® brand motor oil. Keep all your service receipts with your Warranty Certificate indicating the grade of Pennzoil® motor oil used, plus the date and mileage at each time of service. Stay within the recommended service intervals and you will be protected against oil related failure as described in the Lubrication Limited Warranty document.
